ARAS MARINE YATIRIM HOLDING together with its subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as ARAS) is one of the first companies operating in this sector in our country and has been serving in the fields of ship salvage and marine construction since 1995. Our services are briefly as follows:

ARAS MARINE YATIRIM HOLDING Management with the Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety Integrated Management System we have established:

  • To prevent environmental accidents, occupational accidents and occupational diseases by evaluating the hazards related to Environment, Occupational Health and Safety and their importance,
  • To use natural resources in the most efficient and effective way,
  • To minimise waste and dispose of waste without harming the environment,
  • To provide environmentally friendly and sensitive service by preventing and reducing all kinds of pollution at the source,
  • To train all personnel and related parties, to increase the awareness of responsibility and competence and to ensure the participation of employees in the system,

Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety Integrated Management System

We aim to prevent environmental accidents, occupational accidents and occupational diseases by evaluating all hazards related to the environment, occupational health and safety.

We contribute to a sustainable environment by using natural resources in the most efficient and effective way.

With our environmentally friendly service approach, we offer environmentally sensitive solutions by preventing and reducing all kinds of pollution at the source.

We train all our employees and increase their responsibility awareness and competences. We ensure the active participation of our employees in the system.

We fully comply with national and international laws, regulations and standards.

We fulfil customer demands not only by meeting but also by going beyond expectations.

We continuously review the Integrated Management System and improve it according to the developing needs.

This policy is communicated to and understood by all our employees so that quality and assurance awareness is carried at every level of our company.

Work Stoppage Policy

In the context of our OHS-E policies and procedures, the “Stop work” policy means that any employee has the right and obligation to stop work whenever they observe any activity or condition that may pose a risk to personnel, equipment or the environment. This policy is based on the principle that safety is everyone’s responsibility and that all employees have a duty to report unsafe conditions or activities to prevent accidents.

All employees must immediately stop work and report any unsafe condition or activity to their manager, captain or foreman. Managers investigate the situation with the OHSE unit and take necessary measures to eliminate or reduce the risk before resuming work.

With this policy, ARAS MARINE INVESTMENT HOLDING undertakes that all of our employees may stop work in the event of one or more of the following situations. All employees of our company are authorised to stop work when there is something they do not understand or think is not quite right.

If you feel, suspect or see something unsafe, you must “Stop Work!”

Objective:
This policy has been prepared to ensure that all our employees are safe and that work is carried out safely at all times.

Scope:
This policy is established as an expression of the principles that guide our day-to-day business and sets out our expectations that managers, employees, service providers, customers, visitors, and company representatives act in accordance with the law, relevant company policies, and procedures.

This Policy does not discriminate at any level and applies equally to all persons who have a relationship with ARAS MARINE YATIRIM HOLDING and its affiliates.

This policy
i. When an unsafe condition is recognised or occurs;
ii. When the safe working environment is threatened due to an unrecognised situation, action or omission;
iii. Where there has been a change to the original operation plans and this could lead to dangerous behaviour or negligence;
iv. If something can be done to make the work safer
v. In cases where you see someone engaging in dangerous behaviour;
“Stop Work” is required.
In this case, unsafe practices and/or conditions should be reported directly to immediate supervisors, captains, foremen and managers.
If you feel that your report has not been sufficiently taken into consideration, you can contact the OHS-E Unit, which is assigned to handle your complaint under strict confidentiality rules.

Responsibility:
All company employees are responsible for the implementation of this policy. Company management, managers, captains and foremen are responsible for ensuring that the standards set by the policy and procedures are communicated to all employees and that their own behaviour sets a good example.

Furthermore, our Company welcomes any suggestions that may improve the safety of its operations.

Quality, Occupational Health and Environment Scope Statement

ARAS MARINE INVESTMENT HOLDING and our subsidiaries provide services at home and abroad in line with the following activities.

The Holding and its subsidiaries hold ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System certificates (Aras Deniz Construction Inc. also holds ISO 29001:2020 certificate) and provide services in accordance with the requirements of national and international standards in their respective fields. We do not have any article excluded from the scope of the relevant standards.

ARAS MARINE INVESTMENT HOLDING and its subsidiaries; during its activities, it handles the processes starting from raw material input to product formation, logistics of these products, maintenance activities, discharge of solid and liquid wastes, recycling of wastes, water and gas emissions, efficient use of resources such as energy and water, and environmental conditions such as climate change from a life cycle perspective.

ARAS MARINE YATIRIM HOLDİNG and its subsidiaries, in accordance with the Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety Policy, which is related to its purpose and strategic direction and which affects the ability of integrated management systems to achieve the intended result(s), and has determined internal and external issues, being an international company, evaluates local, legal and applicable conditions and fulfils its obligations accordingly.

Legal requirements are fulfilled by establishing processes, procedures, instructions and related documents for the implementation of the legislation, ensuring the separation of wastes at source, disposing of hazardous wastes through licensed companies, conducting OHS and environmental measurements (noise, vibration, emission, water analyses, etc.) through accredited institutions and taking necessary measures in case of exceeding the values, following up the relevant legislation in terms of OHS and environment and constantly monitoring compliance.
